Job Description

About your new role:

  • Preparation of monthly financial statement to required deadlines and in accordance with NFI Group accounting policies and processes.
  • Create various analysis schedules and provide insightful commentary on financial performance within the Parts division.
  • Prepare monthly full year forecasts based on the views of Aftermarket management team and bridge to previous forecast.
  • Provide necessary financial data to Group Finance for the preparation of Quarterly NFI Group Accounts.
  • Compilation of annual operating plan for the Parts Division for inclusion in the AOP of the Alexander Dennis Aftermarket business.
  • Preparation of KPIs for Aftermarket Parts operations Managers.
  • Maintaining and adhering to the financial control processes in accordance with NFI Group’s ICFR Program.
  • Responsibility for calculation of PPM provision
  • Responsibility for calculation and analysis of Service Exchange Provision, providing the business with timely information to allow tight operation controls.
  • Main point of contact for non-UK subs on inter-company transfers of parts and associated transfer pricing model
  • Ad hoc projects as requested by the Head of Aftermarket & Engineering Finance
  • Review and Analysis of Parts Department overheads.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Due to the technical nature of your role, it is essential that you a qualified accountant, along with a demonstrable track record of success in a similar role as defined in this advert. Ideally your experience will be from another Manufacturing and or Aftermarket business, however we would be interested in those from other similarly complex businesses. Alongside your core accounting skills, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, being able to influence, challenge and negotiate at all levels. You should be able to demonstrable an ability to work effectively within a team, meet required deadlines and communicate up and down the organization with confidence. Demonstrable experience of preparing financial statements and extracting information from financial systems. You will be highly self-motivated able to work independently and as part of a team. Inquisitive by nature, you will have first class analytical and problem-solving skills, always looking for new and better ways of doing things. Finally, you will be highly IT literate, being a competent user of Microsoft Office in particular Excel. You should also be comfortable with Finance Consolidation packages and ERP systems. Experience with Hyperion and Syspro is an advantage but not essential.
