Job Description
The Role
- Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar entries
- Preparation of monthly accounts including all reconciliations and reports
- Yearend processes and statutory accounts preparation
- Process improvement and ad-hoc tasks to support Senior Management
- Day to day involvement in the financial management of the business
- Managing AP and AR
- Dealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts.
- Developing relationships with external stakeholders including auditors and HMRC
- Day to day management of audit
- Ensuring the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues.
- Leading all payroll, VAT and HMRC processes.
- Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout.
- Identifying ways for the business to operate more cost-efficiently
- Budgeting and forecasting
Requirements
Experience using tools such as
Preferable
- Big 4 accountancy practice experience is an advantage

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be a fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA). A proven track record of building and developing effective working relationships, excellent communication and good problem-solving skills. Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with employees and external contacts. Self-motivated and proactive in seeking out answers. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Excellent communication both verbal and written skills. Strong technical accounting knowledge. Excel and modelling. Creating statutory accounts. Experience of managing AP and AR. Experience running annual audit.
