Job Description

A well-established client of mine are currently seeking the services of a progressive Accounts Payable Assistant to join their lively team. This is an organisation that have made fantastic strides in the home care industry with their growth and expansion over the last 12 months which has been constantly generating new positions within the company.
Being based in the heart of Sydenham, they offer the successful candidate fantastic transportation links whilst also being very close to the shopping centres, train & bus station. The role itself has been generated due to an recent maternity cover needed for the end of January.
The following attributes are considered essential for this role:

  • At least 12 months experience
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing Invoices
  • Intermediate excel skills (formulas & spreadsheets)

As the Accounts Payable Assistant you will be involved with the following:

  • Processing the weekly payment run via BACS
  • Month end reconciliations
  • Reconciling staff credit card expenses
  • Closing Ledgers
  • Allocation of money received
  • Processing both Accounts Payable & Receivable (ad hoc) Invoices

Progression to be involved with the following:

  • Accruals and Prepayments
  • Multi-Currency exposure
  • Processing Journals
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Assistance with Managements Accounts pack
