Ideally, the Senior Finance/MI Analyst will have previous experience working within an IT Finance environment as the knowledge gained would prove invaluable in this role as you provide:
Management Information – producing analysis & trend reports with appropriate MI to assist with the review of cross divisional charges of Group IT costs, aiding the divisions to understand underlying charges and provide greater transparency of costs.
Financial Control - ensuring adequate controls are in place around any modelling used in the allocation process and sufficient processes are documented, including process flows, to ensure risk of unsupported models is mitigated.
Ensuring allocations basis used to allocate Group IT costs are fully understood, documented and are agreed as an appropriate driver of cross divisional allocations of Group IT costs.
Allocated Expense Review- Reviewing the current allocation recharging model and help shape new cost allocation principles and basis for the Group IT cost base, developing a good understanding of the tools used including CMdb and ServiceNow.
Planning and Forecasting - Developing a model or framework that can be used in the planning and forecast process to apportion Group IT costs to divisions in line with how these services are provided by Group IT and consumed by the business.
Projects - Supporting management by undertaking ad-hoc analysis and projects as required, to further develop the success of the division’s profile within the organisation.
