*To provide high quality reception duties through welcoming and greeting patients, relatives, staff and visitors in a professional, caring and courteous manner and dealing appropriately with any enquiries/complaints.
*To provide comprehensive and efficient administration support to the outpatients service for both patients, nursing and medical staff.
*To provide Front of House Reception / general enquiries cover, 8am - 6pm 5 days per week on a rota basis. Agreeing over the telephone either with the GP, receptionist or patient a date for their Outpatient appointment as well as any cancellations and subsequent bookings using the Lorenzo patient records system.
*To work within the agreed call centre standards, in particular quality of service, and ensure call waiting is of no more than 8% of hang-ups happen on a daily basis.
*The role also involves producing appointment invitation and confirmation letters to patients prior to their appointment.
*To attend accurately patients attendance on the Lorenzo and In Touch systems.
*To cash up clinics accurately and within specified timeframes.
*To record accurately the coding of all procedures carried out in clinic onto the Lorenzo system for funding purposes within 24 hours of appointment.
*To welcome patients at the reception for clinics and ensure that the patients details and any follow up appointments are recorded accurately on Lorenzo.
