Job Description

Experienced Accounts Assistant required to join a large accountancy practice based in the Chislehurst area of Kent. The accountancy practice provides a wide range of solutions for SME's and OMB's. Due to expansion the opportunity has arisen for an AAT qualified Accounts Assistant to join the progressive accountancy firm. The practice is an ACCA training firm and study support is potentially available.

Accounts Assistant Position Overview

*As an experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper you will be performing hands on bookkeeping, preparing and submitting VAT returns

*Reconciling sales invoices, receipts and payments

*Accounts preparation and year end accounts experience

*Keeping clients up to date with their business's performance

*VAT returns

*Completing bank reconciliations

*Bookkeeping

*Preparing invoices for the Inland Revenue

*Checking company bank statements

*Accounts Assistant Position Requirements

*2 years' Bookkeeping experience within an Accountancy Practice is essential

*Experience with sage, quickbooks and xero would be highly desirable

*AAT Bookkeeping qualifications

*You must be within a commutable distance of the Chislehurst area

*Accounts preparation experience is essential

*Accounts Assistant Position Remuneration

*Salary: £22,000 - £29,000 dependant on skills and experience

*Monday - Friday - full time

*Core hours are 09.00 - 17.30

*23 days Holiday, plus bank holidays

*On-going training and career progression

*Study support for ACCA

*Parking on site.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

2 years' Bookkeeping experience within an Accountancy Practice is essential Experience with sage, quickbooks and xero would be highly desirable AAT Bookkeeping qualifications You must be within a commutable distance of the Chislehurst area
