Job Description

The Environmental, Health & Safety Manager’s role is to drive the Oldham sites behaviorally based safety culture towards it’s aspiration of zero accidents and deliver the highest level of environmental performance through behavioral and culture change. A fundamental part of the role will be to ensure the factory is fully compliant with statutory legislation, regulations and company policies and to be the local point of contact for government and auditing bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading all Environmental, Health, & Safety compliance requirements in line with all legislative, regulatory, company and market expectations.
• Lead and continually improve behavior-based safety culture and mindset on site.
• Drive the site’s journey towards interdependence status on the Bradley Curve.
• Leading EHS Governance across Site Operations.
• Representing the site in Molnlycke Health Care Global EHS meetings and conferences.
• Resident expert on EHS matters providing support and advice when requested.
• Developing EHS improvement programme that will deliver year on year KPI improvements.
• Implementing, supporting and reviewing an effective internal audit programme.
• Liaising with Occupational Health in relation to matters that are workplace related.
• Managing the accident, incident, near miss and hazard processes and procedures.
• Compiling local and group EHS reports and statistics for publication.
• Managing the EHS management system and acting as lead auditor for ISO standard.
• Leadership of Site facilities manager.
• Year on year cost reduction of the site facilities and energy cost base.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Health and Safety – Essential IEMA certification - Essential Excellent working knowledge of all areas within EHS – Essential Working knowledge of industry audit standards such as ISO - Essential Proven experience working within the Bradley Curve – Essential Intermediate Excel and report writing skills - Essential Demonstrable felt leadership technique – Essential Degree Qualified - Preferred
