Job Description

Our client is a leading construction company who operate throughout London and the UK.

They have an urgent requirement for a Accounts Assistant to assist in the financial management, financial administration and financial operation of their various activities.

Key Tasks Include:
a. Preparation of the prime books of entry for a number of very active development sites
b. Preparing monthly and bi monthly payment runs for all development sites
c. Dealing with queries from suppliers.
d. Preparation of monthly, bi monthly and annual Revenue returns
e. Assisting in the preparation of quarterly management accounts and corporate administration.
f. Assisting with the year end audit.
 

Key Attributes/Person Specification:
• have at least 3-4 years of experience in an accounts payable / purchase ledger posting environment.
• have an interest in the construction and/or property sector, with prior experience an advantage
• have good communication skills
• be analytical, and technically proficient in Microsoft Excel
• have an ability to work on own initiative and to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
• have experience in dealing with high volume of transactions
• be organised and efficient with excellent attention to detail


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
At least 3-4 years of experience in an accounts payable / purchase ledger
