Urgently needed

We are seeking to appoint an Laboratory Team Leader to join our team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Laboratory Team Leaders role is to manage the small team of Quality Technicians and drive improvements, ensure accurate and timely measurement reports are being produced and manage the process and product inspections audit to prevent customer concerns being raised.

Responsibilities & Duties Include:

  • Develop the measurements systems and processes to improve accuracy and efficiencies
  • Manage the calibration process – ensuring calibration is completed on time, meets IATF16949 requirements, ISO 14001 requirements and customer requirements
  • Ensure product audits /requalification’s are completed on time as per customer requirements
  • Ensure ISIR’s, process capability, MSA studies and testing (including PIPO testing) are completed to meet the required scheduled
  • Ensure any testing failures are correctly logged
  • Ensure first off packs are produced accurately, in a timely manner and maintained to reflect business, IATF 16949 and customer requirements
  • Ensure test methods and SOPs are produced for activities completed in the laboratory and that all Technicians are trained against these documents
  • Update GPLM with the information generated by the Laboratory including ISIR’s, Process Capability information

**Although not essential, experience of using GPLM and CMM would be an advantage, as would an IATF 16949/ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certificate **

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Extensive experience in a Laboratory including the use of key testing equipment. Able to understand Engineering Drawings. Knowledge of IATF 16949/ISO 9001. Understanding and review SPC data sets. Understanding and able to conduct Measurement Systems Analysis. Planning and prioritizing workload. Microsoft Office. Understands DOE basic principles. Core tools – APQP, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC. Minitab experience.
