Our client who is part of a successful brand are seeking a talented individual to take on the role of Credit Controller in our busy Finance team based in Runcorn. The ideal candidate will have a credit control background and be an experienced member of a high performing finance team. We are looking for an organized and committed individual to assist the team in a fast-growing business.

Job Role Duties

• Main person responsible for the day to day credit control and managing the debt on the sales ledger. Including proactively chasing debts, escalating problematic accounts and taking legal action where appropriate
• Building & maintaining relationships with customers
• Running all the billing in our laundry management system
• Posting sales receipts accurately through the cash book
• Preparing the direct debit runs on time
• Monitoring the sales ledger inbox to resolve sales related queries
• Liaising with the sites and Account Managers to resolve queries
• Produce manual invoices and credits as required
• Resolution of internal and external invoicing queries
• Reporting to management on old debts including any action plans put into place
• Assisting the rest of the finance team with Adhoc tasks

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Credit control experience with a large customer base. Excellent communication/ customer service skills to deal with a range of customer queries in a professional manner. Experience with the legal side of debt collection. Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels. Ability to plan, priorities and organize own workload and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision Problem solving skills and strong attention to detail Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
