Finance Assistant
Salary - Negotiable
Location - Hammersmith
My client based in Hammersmith is currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant to work within their dynamic Finance team. I am looking for candidates who are available to start immediately and have experience working within the Education sector. This is a varied role in which you will cover purchase ledger, banking and a split between all other areas within Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately maintain and update supplier data within purchase ledger
- To liaise with budget holders, managers and staff to ensure efficient and speedy processing of supplier invoices
- To prepare and process any journals in respect of amending nominal postings
- To ensure all general and fee bank account transactions are posted on a daily basis
- Record monthly bank account transactions in respect of the schools and other bank accounts
- Send out credit card statements to cardholders on a monthly basis and ensure that they are returned with all supporting receipts
- To perform monthly bank reconciliations
Profile:
The ideal candidate will have;
- Proficient user of Sage 200
- Knowledge and experience of standard accounting procedures within Purchase Ledger
- Experience working in a highly demanding and busy finance team
- Friendly and professional team player happy to support others when necessary
- Happy and confident to pick up the phone
