Job Description

We are working with a leading and highly progressive firm of Accountants in Leeds who have an outstanding opportunity for a Business Services/ Accounts Senior to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA (Part Qualified, AAT Qualified, QBE also considered) qualified with a strong background in practice and be experienced in the preparation of year end statutory, management accounts and ideally managing your own portfolio.

The role will involve plenty of client interaction so excellent communication/ interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing portfolios of clients.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Preparation of VAT returns & bookkeeping.
  • Preparation of management accounts.
  • Dealing with client/ HMRC queries.
  • Reviewing the work of junior staff.
  • Client meetings/ liaison.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
ACA/ ACCA Qualified. ACA/ ACCA Part Qualified/ Finalist also considered. Practice experience is essential. Working knowledge of accounting software programs such as Sage, QuickBooks & Xero is desirable.
