Job Description

Our client a well-known established firm of Accountants and Business advisors based in corporate offices in Cottingley with free car parking are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator responsible for the timely, efficient and accurate delivery of payroll for a portfolio of clients, including record-keeping and reporting, to ensure that all deadlines are met.
You will be responsible for:

· First point of contact for payroll service clients

· Prepare, process, maintain and submit accurate payroll information and records as required

· Data entry for all personnel transactions such as new hires, terminations, leave of absence, benefits deductions, etc.

· Calculating and processing of deductions including PAYE, Tax, NI, SSP, SMP; statutory and BACS payments and statutory year end returns

· FPS/EPS submissions

· Research and resolve problems; perform scheduled activities and liaise with service clients and Partners

· Raise fee notes to clients

· Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity

· Document workflow and work procedures.

Salary in the region of £18 – 28k dependent on experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· A good working knowledge of practical payroll matters and current HMRC legislation including RTI, preferably with Practice experience · Attention to detail with minimum of supervision · Good English both written and verbal · Strong communication and interpersonal skills · Ability to work under own initiative and show proactive “Can Do” attitude · Willing to work as part of a team and help out on all matters but also be able to work autonomously when necessary · Responsible, trustworthy, reliable, self-motivated.
