More about the Expert Purchase Ledger Clerk role:
This is an excellent opportunity to join AO Logistics Finance department as an Expert Purchase Ledger Clerk on a 12-month fixed-term contract and be an integral part of the AO Logistics Finance team. You will be joining a dynamic team of 4 whilst having the independence to work alone in a fast-paced environment. This role is no ordinary Purchase Ledger role with no two days the same – you will constantly be challenged and driven out of your comfort zone. Picture a typical Finance department…scrap that concept!

Here's what you can expect to be doing as our Expert Purchase Ledger Clerk:
- Main role: Excel Reconciliations of receipting processes
- Input of invoices/credits Microsoft AX – Setting up new supplier accounts including drivers
- Matching to purchase orders for vehicle repairs for a number of different depots
- Preparing payments to go to suppliers and drivers
- Liaising with depots to ensure purchase orders are raised and investigating and queries
- Processing invoices and credit notes, ensuring coded accurately within our accounting system, AX
- Matching invoices to the AO Logistics PO system
- Be aware of VAT relief if applicable, ensuring invoices are correctly recorded, within VAT guidelines
- Reviewing supplier statements on a monthly basis, ensuring accounts stay within credit limits
- Reconciling all supplier accounts at month-end
- Cover for purchase ledger payment runs
- Unallocated cash

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Be able to work at a fast pace whilst hitting monthly deadlines - Be able to deal with high volumes of invoices/data - Be adaptable to business requirements daily/weekly/monthly within set deadlines - Have a passion for success and results - Have a positive can-do attitude - Have the ability to work with minimum supervision and use initiative - Be accurate with a good eye for detail - Have strong MS Excel skills – including regular use of formulas
