Job Description

The ideal candidate will demonstrate an interest in pursuing a legal career or working within a legal environment.  The working hours of the role will be Monday - Friday 9.00am to 5.15pm.

The role will entail:

  • Opening and closing files;
  • Providing quotes;
  • Attending to incoming and outgoing post;
  • Updating database with relevant file information;
  • Photocopying, printing and scanning
  • Obtaining searches and replies to property questionnaires;
  • Using Case Management System, Land Registry Portal, SDLT, Outlook, Excel etc;
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents and solicitors;
  • Obtaining title deeds, Land Registry title and plans;
  • Registration of title and dispatch of deeds to lender and client;
  • Printing and collating documents
  • Preparing Contract documentation;
  • Assist with preparation of Completion Statements and assist with completing transactions;
  • Tea/Coffee making when required;
  • To ensure the office is kept tidy;
  • To cover reception, post and bank duties as and when required.

The appropriate candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Basic computer skills (including working knowledge of Microsoft Word);
  • Adaptability/flexibility;
  • Organisation and prioritisation;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Discretion;
  • Professional telephone manner and good people skills;
  • Pro-activity.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Basic computer skills (including working knowledge of Microsoft Word);
