Job Description

The Role

Reporting into the Construction Director, the successful Construction Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the department and supporting the Construction Director with day-to-day duties and diary management. In your new role, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the preparation of key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the Construction function.
  • Providing general administration support to the Construction team and Area Construction Managers.
  • Maintaining departmental records and filing, archiving and data retrieval systems ensuring that information is stored and filed in line with the Avant Homes data protection policy.
  • Providing confidential, administrative and secretarial support services to the Construction Director to maximise their time.
  • Co-ordination of the Construction Directors' meetings and agendas.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of defined administrative procedures to meet company policy and quality standards.
  • Working as part of the wider administration and support team helping other administrative staff as required to ensure the delivery of a fully effective administration team for the business.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be successful as our new Construction Administrator, you will be able to demonstrate proven experience within a similar Administration role ideally for a housebuilder or construction company. You will be a self-sufficient, experienced Administrator with the ability to provide excellent written and verbal communication, and to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment is essential. Strong organisational skills along with the ability to prioritise workload with excellent attention to detail is an essential part of this role. To be considered for this role you must also possess: Extensive knowledge and application of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Experience of the COINS ERP system is desirable yet not essential. Excellent organisational skills. The ability to work under your own initiative and manage time effectively. A flexible and adaptable approach to changing requirements.
