Job Description

The School Administratorday to day duties are as follows:

  • Analyse and evaluate data/information and produce reports/information/data as required by SLT
  • Manage Admissions procedure and take photos of new pupils
  • Maintain SCR
  • Manage the administration of recruitment Inc. advertising, collating documentation, references, DBS, and medical checks
  • Operate relevant IT packages
  • Assist with marketing and promoting the school including open evenings etc
  • Establish constructive relationships and communication with all staff and other agencies
  • Support SLT with confidential administration support in meetings in school, with parents, governors etc as required
  • Manage meeting schedules
  • Ensure all weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports are produced and delivered on time
  • Assist in the organisation of school trips/events in co-operation with other staff.
  • Keep records in accordance with school and legislative policies
  • Book Training courses for staff and liase with the Cover Supervisor
  • Be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people
  • Comply with school policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school
  • Be the Educational Visit Co-ordinator for the school
  • Manage the Petty Cash for the school.
  • Work closely with the Learning and Resource team and provide assistance where required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working in an office environment for senior management person/s Strong organisational skills, comfortable working to tight deadlines with high levels of accuracy Good written and verbal communication skills Willing to take initiative in dealing with requests, questions, complaints Ability to work independently and as part of team. Competent in working with Word, Powerpoint and Excel Educated to GCSE level, able to take minutes, write letters, work with databases Experience of working in a secondary school would be desirable Experience and Knowledge of SIMS would be desirable
