The International Opportunities Assistant is based in Career & Employability Services, working with the International Opportunities Coordinator to assist with the management of inbound and outbound international opportunities for students and staff (Erasmus+, ISEP, and Study in China Programme, World Wide Exchange and Short Term Travel Awards). This involves promoting funding available to students and staff to undertake study and work abroad, processing applications and payments, and responding to enquiries from institutional partners, exchange participants and departmental coordinators across the University.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The post holder will provide administrative support to the International Opportunities Coordinator recording applicant details and liaising with programme administration, admissions, and timetabling, as well as delivering brief presentations to outbound participants preparing to go abroad and to newly arrived exchange students during induction. You will have experience of working in Higher Education, understanding of study exchange or work abroad programmes and experience of working with international students.
