Job Description

As we enter one of the most exciting times in our history we are looking for Network Inventory Data Administrator that oozes our Virgin values and embraces the on-going ways of working within Liberty Global.

As the Network Inventory Data Administrator you will be responsible for updating and maintaining Virgin Media’s logical Network and Service Inventory, so that it accurately reflects changes made to the physical network, in a timely and efficient manner.

It will be your responsibility as the Network Inventory Data Administrator process high volumes of complex logical network inventory data to support Virgin Media’s Network Expansion Programme and other high profile projects.

What will you be doing?

  • Ensuring the quality and standard of network inventory data is maintained, managed and quality assessed.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant internal standards, processes and procedures, calling out risks if they arise.
  • Responsibility for contributing innovative ideas to process transformation.
  • Providing subject matter expertise on network inventory data within the team and to other stakeholder groups.
  • Maintain network inventory data by identifying and investigating discrepancies or inaccuracies, determining root cause, escalating issues and implementing agreed actions.
  • Analyze and interpret network inventory data, proactively identifying issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supporting the transfer and transformation of existing processes from the "as is" state, to the new "to be" which includes moving the processes to a new system (Resource Inventory), and supporting any other process improvement or automation as guided by the Team Manager.

Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel. Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Visio. Ability to analyze big data sets. Previous experience in a role delivering high volume processes. Clear understanding of SLA’s and KPI’s. Ability to priorities and work effectively under pressure to tight deadlines. Telco sector experience is desirable.
