Tax Manager - Insurance

Due to continued growth this London market underwriter are recruiting for a newly created role of Tax Manager for their UK & European entities. This role is ideally suited to tax professional with a strong insurance background (either within industry or practice)

This broad tax role will give the successful applicant the opportunity to assist the CFO with the development of the tax function. Core responsibilities will include

• Preparation of corporation tax returns for their UK and European entities
• Design and development of taxation internal controls and risk management
• Production of quarterly VAT, IPT returns (UK and Europe)
• Maintaining tax risk register and transfer pricing files
• Lead responsibility for implementing tax / regulatory / compliance changes across the group
• Development of existing reporting processes
• Working with other functions across the business to support e.g. employee taxes
• Advise on taxation impacts for changes in accounting standard including IFRS17
• Assistance with annual budgets as it pertains to tax

For an experienced Tax accountant with an insurance background (practice or industry) this is truly an exciting opportunity to step up into a Tax Manager and help develop a tax function of this growing international insurer.

You will be a qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CTA and have demonstrable experience within the insurance / reinsurance market.
