Job Description
The Role
*To support the local authority with general finance related matters including budget setting and budget monitoring
*To prepare the annual accounts along with financial advice and analysis to ensure robust financial management
*To generally support the Resources, Environment and Cultural Services areas
*To operate closure of accounts and provision of support for service managers
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*A fully qualified or part-qualified accountant actively studying towards full qualification *Experience of contributing to the closure of accounts process for a multi-disciplinary organisation *Previous working experience within a local authority is essential *Strong and up to date knowledge of accounting principles, regulations and practices
