Job Description

Training provided:
The successful applicant will undertake:

  • Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard in Business and Administration
  • Personal Learning & Thinking skills
  • Employee Responsibilities and Rights
  • Functional Skills at Level 2 in math, English and I.T. (if required)

All training to be delivered in the workplace and on a one to one basis with tutor/assessor support.

The aim of the Walker Crips Apprenticeship is to provide you with the knowledge and skill sets to pursue a successful career in the Financial Services Industry sector. The role would comprise of tasks that complement your Business Administration qualifications, along with the experience of working for a prestigious PLC.

Some of the key duties being:

  • Administration support for client review and valuation processes
  • Assisting with Fee calculations and invoicing
  • Data entry and cleansing
  • Dealing with providers
  • Audit preparation

As the Apprenticeship progresses the duties will increase with the opportunities to be involved with processing new business, and the preparation of Management information.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Numerical ability essential. Word and excel skills a strong advantage. GCSE math and English at a grade C or above or levels 4 -9. Team worker. Able to work on own initiative. Excellent communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft packages. Care and attention to detail. Needs to have strong interpersonal skills as will be liaising with other departments and consultants. Self-motivated (constant supervision is not required). A conscientious attitude to ensure completion of work in a timely manner. Willingness to learn and the desire for a career in Financial Services. Strong team skills. Integrity and honesty essential as dealing with confidential information. Essential that candidate is computer literate and has familiarity with Word and Excel.
