Full-time, somewhat flexible working hours
Circa £26,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Main Responsibilities:
Daily usage of financial processes, enhancing and updating where needed
Management of sales ledger & purchase ledger
Maintaining accounts
Balancing accounts on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis
Managing client invoices & payments
Liaising with clients and suppliers
Working closely with accountant to prepare VAT & CIS returns
General office duties, such as purchasing stationery supplies and equipment as authorised by management, and administrative duties where required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Outstanding numerical skills Strong bookkeeping skills and previous experience in a similar role Experience within Construction industry would be advantageous Solid organisational skills and excellent attention to detail Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Ability to build rapport across the business Highly computer literate with experience of accounting packages Ability to work to deadlines Possess relevant NVQ qualifications and/or specialist qualifications such as AAT Strong working knowledge of Excel or other spreadsheets
