Job Description

Your main duties will include:

  • Responding to incidents and requests logged in the company Helpdesk System
  • Prioritising incidents and requests
  • Troubleshooting network and server problems
  • Providing technical support to our Warehouse/Dispatch operations
  • Implementing and supporting firewalls, routers, switches, wireless LAN, servers, PCs, printers & VoIP telephony
  • Installing and integrating new server hardware and applications
  • Monitoring network links, assessing the impact of systems on network performance, investigating reported performance issues
  • Administering and improving network security and connectivity
  • Monitoring network performance and availability
  • Management of domain user accounts and permissions
  • Monitoring and maintaining server and data backups
  • Implementation, testing and maintenance of the company's DR solution
  • Maintaining windows security patches and Sophos anti-malware updates and policies
  • Maintaining network inventory
  • Producing and keeping up-to-date documentation of I.T. Systems
  • Support & administration of Office 365 and associated applications
  • Attending weekly meetings with our Warehouse operations team
  • Providing guidance and knowledge sharing to other members of the IT support team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
2 + years proven experience in a Network Administrator role Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching Experience with firewall support and configuration Experience with support and administration of Cisco Meraki wireless access points Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control and monitoring of server infrastructure Ability to setup, configure and support a VMware virtual server environment Microsoft Office 365 Administration Microsoft Office applications Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016 Windows 7 - 10 Mac OSX TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP SAN & NAS technologies Active Directory administration VoIP Telephony Familiarity with Veeam backup and replication software MCSE certification a plus Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification a plus Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server a plus Dependable and flexible to provide support outside of normal business hours when necessary Excellent customer service Experience with cyber security fundamentals
