Job Description

The finance team includes two supportive qualified accountants.

Good attention to detail with experience of implementation of new initiatives and processes is required with emphasis on strong bookkeeping skills and ability to run a monthly payroll for permanent and casual staff.

Key Responsibilities:

*Generating, reviewing and processing VAT returns for partnership and related companies

*Processing monthly payroll and pension administration and HMRC payments for permanent staff and adhoc seasonal casuals

*Recording cash receipts

*Banking, registering and refunding deposits by cheques and cash

*Ensuring that receivables are collected promptly and chasing any aged debts

*Coding supplier invoices and processing payment by BACS

*Implementing new purchase order pre-approval system

*Controlling utility re-charges

*Conducting a monthly reconciliation of each bank account and reporting balances daily

*Reconciling all accounts ledgers to ensure their accuracy

*Monitoring and controlling fixed assets & stock

*Checking monthly rent demand schedules

*Issuing invoices

*Scanning all relevant documents

*General office duties and answering telephone

*Working with Excel spreadsheets, an in-house accounting software package, a database and IRIS software for Payroll.
