Job Description

My Client a well-established Law Firm are looking to recruit a Legal Administrator to work in their Dept Recovery department. The ideal candidate would be someone who is ambitious, enthusiastic and innovative.

Main Duties:

  • Supporting the staff in the department by dealing with enquiries, issuing claims, obtaining and enforcing judgments and providing administrative support to members of the team.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls and talking to clients about their financial situation
  • Deal with clients in a fair and reasonable manner in all circumstances
  • Support the team in the delivery of debt recovery processing including issuing claims and obtaining judgment
  • Support colleagues in the delivery of relevant methods of enforcement as necessary including Insolvency Procedures
  • Working under the direction of the senior debt recovery team
  • Assist in the management of accounting records
  • Assist in individual work in progress aged debt & disbursements targets in line with departmental protocols
  • Develop and maintain a rapport with clients to ensure successful collection of debt
  • Attend any/all training courses when required
  • Assist in the management of external and internal queries / complaints as they arise, escalating any issues to the Senior Debt Recovery Executive
  • Assist in the timely and efficient collection of arrears
  • Assist other departments in the debt recovery process so that it is effective in accordance with company demands / needs

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent organizational and communication skills and the confidence and ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels, both in writing and verbally. Have a firm but fair manner and will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls, and talking to clients about their financial situations. Good IT skills with the ability to priorities a varied workload and to work to and meet deadlines, whilst having a good eye for detail and a concern for quality and accuracy. Have a flexible approach with a positive outlook and a team player with the ability to use their initiative.
