Pay rate and shifts:

£25k-28k depending on experience

Day shift: 8:30am-5pm

Main duties:

  • Comply with the health, safety and environment rules throughout the sector.
  • Identify and express to the Team Leader (LWB3) any risks regarding health, safety, quality and environment, including reporting all incidents and near misses.
  • Know the recommended gestures to perform the standard operating modes. Suggest proposals to improve the operating mode.
  • Link various operations according to a predetermined process: receiving, warehousing, inventory management, store outlets, line procurement, specific export shipping administrative processes transport and customs, communication with forwarders
  • Perform self-checks provided and inventories programmed in order to detect non-conformities
  • Operate appropriately to hazards, deliveries mistakes, Inbound-Outbound "left on docks" management and follow-up
  • Apply and update of procedures defined
  • Apply escalation process in case of any deviation (safety, environment, quality, performance)
  • Ensure proper recording of barriers and performance in Red / Green follow up
  • Organize the sequence of operations in some cases : customs clearance documents, cut-off time coordination (Inbound, outbound), OM coordination.
  • Be active on the SPS implementation (tools, suggestion system, SIM cycle, …)
  • Ensure the conformity of documents linked to the transportation (Packing list, delivery, clauses,.. )
  • Prepare, release, print transportation documents as dispatch notes, invoicing notes , in accordance with contractual conditions
  • Is the plant contact for the sub contractor for all operating topics (Operation follow-up, documents transmission, packing constraint, shipping priority, date change,…)
  • Communicate the transport scheduling to the customer
  • Update data in ERP
  • Communicate the Equipment transportation information to the Project Manager
  • Communicate the transportation customer claim to Quality department.
  • Ensure the quality of the packing and the accuracy of the data populated on transport documents.
  • Organize freight forwarding & customs clearance operation process
  • Ensure the respect of customs regulations
  • Monitor and co-operative closely with logistics operational staff
  • Provides training and cover for colleagues within transport function within UK logistics
