Job Description

The successful candidate will earn £21,000 per annum. If you have a Level 3 qualification or significant administrative experience then this is a perfect opportunity to grow your career and join a fantastic company.

Role Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and implementing administrative systems and processes to support the effective functioning of the company in relation to: reception; HR; and regular weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks
  • Providing a high standard of service, of initial and subsequent contacts, for customers, partners, suppliers and staff, which promotes a positive image of the organisation. Prioritising and signposting these contacts whether by phone, email or face to face.
  • Maintaining and updating database / management information system
  • Maintaining HR records including those relating to leave, sickness, recruitment and training
  • Maintaining an up to date list of suppliers and liaising with them as required
  • Working closely with and supporting the Operations Manager
  • Participating in management / team meetings and minute taking as required
  • Supporting volunteers / apprentices within the reception area.
  • Undertaking training as required for the role
  • Attend regular supervision meetings
  • Other duties commensurate with the post

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Level 3 qualification or significant administrative experience CPP qualified or equivalent experience of HR administration Good level of IT literacy including: proficiency in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel experience of updating / using one or more management information system(s) a working knowledge of Publisher or another desktop publishing package familiarity with a range of other software / online tools e.g. for surveys, arranging meetings Experience of reception or face to face working with customers Excellent communication skills, in dealing with enquiries, whether face to face, by email or by telephone Good level of written communication skills Highly organised with good time management and prioritisation skills Able to work with accuracy and with an eye for detail Comfortable to work alone in reception, or in similar one-to-one situations with customers An understanding of diversity and ability to respond respectfully to people from different cultures and backgrounds Ability to work on own initiative and as a member of our committed staff team Supportive of the values base of the company.
