Job Description

The Role

The Quality, Health & Safety Environmental Administrator will be responsible for all aspects of QHSE administration in the manufacturing department. The role holder will provide support to the Manufacturing Manager ensuring the day to day management systems run proactively and efficiently across the business.

Job Holder will be responsible for:

The assessment of work equipment in accordance to the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.

The assessment of Manual Handling activities in accordance to the Manual Handling Operating Regulations 1992.

Generating and manipulating risk assessment data and identified risks can be managed effectively.

To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Quality, Health& Safety and Environmental Department.

MAIN DUTIES

To perform tasks related to the Health & Safety management system, such as risk assessments, audits, permits to work, COSHH assessments, and DSE assessments

Ensure, on a daily basis, that any observed Health & Safety issues are dealt with in line with company policy and with legal requirements

Report any action or process, which is non-compliant with legislative, or company Health & Safety requirements to the Manufacturing Manager immediately.

Up-date the non-conformance report

Assist in maintaining records of Health & Safety documentation in line with company document retention policy.

Proactively ensure familiarity with current techniques and models for QHSE management.

Assist the Manufacturing Manager in the development of new processes, updating existing processes, analysing, collection and reporting of KPI data.

Perform inductions of new staff in relation to Quality, Health & Safety and Environment as requested.

Participate in Health & Safety meetings and prepare minutes as requested.

Undertake any ad-hoc projects as requested and any other associated tasks that are deemed reasonable within QHSE department

The Job Holder will have:

NEBOSH and IOSH General Certificate or suitable alternative qualification.

An understanding of COSHH, PUWER, Manual Handling etc.

ISO 9001, 14001 or 18001 knowledge

Full UK Driving Licence and own transport due to working at 2 locations.( not far from each other)


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience of working in a role with H&S responsibility. Experience in working in a H&S administration role Practical experience of H&S risk assessment and auditing Use of Microsoft Office Software, particularly Word and Excel Ability to create clear and thorough reports, procedures and guidance documents. Experience of working as part of a team to achieve team and organisational objectives or to work independently Good organisational and planning skills sufficient to plan own time and workload to ensure that deadlines and timescales are met. High Degree of accuracy in work Excellent verbal and written communication skills
