Job Description

The successful candidate will coordinate a range of identified projects and tasks. They will also take responsibility for supporting the planning, design and delivery of all workforce training across Staff, Volunteers, and Contractors. In addition, the role will provide support and be an active member in assisting various projects and workstreams across the wider workforce and volunteer department as the planning and preparations for the Games proceeds. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, good communication and organizational skills, be helpful and supportive to colleagues as well as a willingness to learn and adapt.

  • Coordinate identified projects and/or tasks that contribute to the overall delivery and success of the Workforce team.
  • Support the Training Team in the planning, development, and delivery of Games training.
  • Act as a key point of contact for email correspondence from other functional areas and external partners. 
  • Support the coordinated planning and logistics of required training facilities and applicable tools and materials. 
  • Support with the formatting and presentation of documents, including presentation slides, reports and papers.
  • Additional administration and project support to other Workforce team members as required.
  • Dedicate 20% of your time to the completion of a relevant apprenticeship with the goal of completing an end-point assessment upon the conclusion of your studies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working towards a Grade C in GCSE English Language (5 in New Grade structure) or equivalent Working towards a Grade D in GCSE Maths (4 in New Grade structure) or equivalent Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly Strong organisational skills Ability to build relationships building with a variety of people A strong customer service focus and desire to go the extra mile Willingness to support the wider team and others where required Passionate about the delivery of Sport at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games
