The selected candidate will be required to accurately input all custom entries and requirements. Ensuring that all associated customs administration is completed in line with the legislative requirements.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to obtain specific instructions and information on associated customs requirements prior to shipping
Reviewing customer documentation to ensure that all data required is obtained - this will include checking all tariffs, commodity codes, license requirements etc.
Ensuring relevant checks have been completed required prior to shipping
Submission of custom declarations to HMRC
Problem solving on rejected entries
Updating monthly exchange rates, and commodity codes
Calculation of VAT where applicable.

Excellent attention to detail. Methodical. Confident communicator. Logical approach to work. MS Office including Excel and Word. Previous experience within customs desired but not essential. Previous experience having worked within a Transport or Logistics industry.
