Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the business and be part of the growth and expansion of a very well established organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To prepare and submit payroll data to external payroll bureau, for weekly and monthly payroll – incl. processing of net pay, payment of PAYE/NIC
  • Preparation of daily cashbooks, assisting the AP and AR team with posting queries
  • Update daily cash flow forecast
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Maintenance of cloud based HR system (PeopleHR)
  • Processing of weekly AP Payment run
  • Processing and payment of employee expenses
  • Maintenance of petty cash, incl cash sales
  • Preparation and posting of payroll journals and related balance sheet reconciliations
  • Incoming Mail
  • Adhoc tasks as required

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years' finance experience
  • Proven track record in cash management for multi currencies
  • A good understanding of payroll processing and Auto-enrolment
  • Bank reconciliation experience necessary

Distinct Advantages

  • Understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings
  • Understanding of e-commerce
  • Experience with Pegasus Opera or Orderwise
  • AAT qualifications advantageous

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be organised Good knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Excel must be a minimum of Intermediate level, knowledge of lookups, PIVOTS, Sumifs Able to meet deadlines and manage own workload Adaptive, able to ‘muck-in’ and flexible willing to support team in ad-hoc tasks that may be required from time to time. Excellent attention to detail Able to follow procedures and processes. Ability to work well under pressure Able to interpret data Be a team player Ability to challenge the norm
