Job Description

We are looking to find a Finance Administrator to join our Finance team in Huddersfield to provide an efficient and effective financial service.

Working as part of a small team, you will support the Finance Manager with sales ledger and credit control activities, as well as purchase ledger, petty cash and bank reconciliations.

You will be employed on a permanent contract, working 24 hours per week, Monday - Friday (working pattern to be discussed at interview) from our Huddersfield office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of fee invoices using the in-house MIS system, ensuring accurate charges are made to the client.
  • Ensuring invoices are authorized and paid by clients within set terms.
  • Liaison with Project Managers to ensure fee values, consultant information and project expenses are correct.
  • Maintenance of fee details in MIS and the accounts system.
  • Closing completed projects, ensuring all fee and consultant information is in balance.
  • Maintenance of spreadsheets and other client-specific administration requirements.
  • Coding purchase invoices to correct projects and ensuring they are accounted for within the project.
  • General ad-hoc finance administration duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience in finance and administration. Demonstrable working knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel and Outlook. Able to work under reasonable work-related pressure and meet tight deadlines. Able to plan and organize time and work effectively to meet deadlines and manage priorities with minimum supervision. Able to work collaboratively in a team environment. Able to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats using appropriate media for different audiences, both internally and externally. Able to build and maintain good working relationships with clients, team members, colleagues and third parties. Able to provide an efficient finance service. Able to collate and present financial information.
