Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• The production of monthly accounts potentially for a number of Companies within the business
• The review of balance sheet account analyses on a monthly basis.
• Property cost accounting for a number of subsidiary entities
• Concession Accounting
• Aid Reporting to Government websites
• Assist in specific Project work.
• Production of ad hoc information and analysis when required
• Completion of certain taxation matters ie VAT (including intrastat)
• Aid where necessary in statutory accounts production
• Responsibility for Fixed Assets for relevant Claires entities
• Ensure all SOX requirements through the business are complied with
• Production of ad hoc information and analysis when required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience in preparation of month end accounts for a multi-sited / departmental organisation (essential) Experience of a retail environment (desirable) SOX experience (desirable) Experience of accounts preparation for Non UK based operations (desirable) Advanced excel and general Microsoft Office skills Experience of Oracle Financials (desirable) Qualified Accountant or Accountant qualified by experience (previously having studied CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
