Tax Accountant - Insurance (12 month assignment)


A global Insurance company seeks an interim Tax Accountant on a 10 to 12 month assignment. Reporting directly to the UK Tax Manager, sitting within the finance function, this role will be responsible for assisting the UK entities fulfil their tax and reporting duties.

The position will span insurance premium tax, corporate tax, VAT and employment tax.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Preparation of quarterly IPT returns;
• Customs and excise correspondence;
• Preparation of VAT returns;
• CT compliance;
• Employment tax compliance;
• HMRC correspondence.

The ideal candidate will competent with manipulating large amounts of data and juggling several tasks in a given time frame. In addition, they will comfortable lasing with various teams within the business and working on their own initiative.

Experience needed:

• Part/ fully qualified accountant/ or tax adviser;
• Experience of working within the tax/finance function within the insurance or reinsurance sector;

This will be paid on a daily rate which will depend on experience.
