Job Description

Job summary

The role is based in the UK Unit Pricing team. The team is part of the Investment Operations area of Investment Financial Services, which provides professional Investment Services to multiple clients in respect to Assets under Administration.

This role formally reports to the Unit Pricing Supervisor but at the same time should provide day to day support to, and work closely with, the Senior Fund Administrator as required.

The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the operation of critical processes in the Unit Pricing team such as but not limited to the:
 

  • Daily calculation and validation of Unit Prices for c. 380 UK Life and Pension funds.
  • Daily collation of policyholder cash flows for all funds and production of a summary cash flow movement report in order for the front office to make appropriate market trading with those inflows/outflows.
  • Daily bank reconciliations between custodian and the investment system.
  • Investment administration of the Staff Pension Scheme.
  • Monthly tasks such as asset reconciliations, MI and data summaries to other teams and departments.
  • Ad-hoc small change projects and process improvements within the team.


What you'll do
 

  • Contribution to the day to day operational performance and KPI's i.e. the timely publication of Unit Prices, Cash reports etc.
  • Ability to apply process controls, SLA's, internal policies and external regulation to a high standard and therefore achieving minimal instances of business errors / losses.
  • Contribution to Continuous Process Improvement and maintaining process documentation e.g. Procedures.
  • Successfully by working with the other Fund Administrators, Senior Fund Administrator and Supervisor.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
5 GCSE's A-C including Maths and English (or equivalent) Openness to further study for the Investment Operations Certificate and/or a foundation accounting exam is desirable. Already holding a relevant or transferrable qualification/degree would be advantageous
