Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- The management/production of monthly accounts for six of Claire's Companies / Countries within the European business
- Responsible for the Concession accounting for Europe for 695 Stores. With twelve Partners across eleven Countries - Look to improve/build on current processes given the ongoing expansion program within this area
- The review of balance sheet account analyses on a monthly basis
- Responsible for all Charity accounting requirements
- Aid where necessary in statutory accounts production
- Staff management x3
- Inter-Company Accounting
- Responsibility for Fixed Assets for relevant Claire's entities
- Ensure all SOX requirements through the business are complied with
- Aid where necessary in statutory accounts production
- Completion of certain taxation matters, corporate and VAT (including intrastat)
- Production of monthly management information to aid management review and planning
- Assist in specific Project work.
- Production of ad hoc information and analysis when required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in preparation of month end accounts for a multi-sited / departmental organisation (essential) Experience of a retail environment (desirable) SOX experience (desirable) Experience of accounts preparation for Non UK based operations (desirable) Qualified Accountant / Qualified by Experience (previously having studied CIMA, ACCA or ACA) Advanced excel and general Microsoft Office skills Experience of Oracle Financials (desirable)
