As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a very important role in assisting the Market Area Accountant in ensuring our clients policy’s. You will have the ability to work on your own as well as having a keen eye for detail, you will have to be able to work under pressure alongside having excellent interpersonal skills.
To qualify for this role, you must have experience working in the Automotive industry as an Assistant Accountant.
About the role
Reconciling and banking daily cash takings from all departments in the branch and posting e-wallet
Reconciling PDQ and cash to end of day report and sales per department – resolving any discrepancies that may arise
Providing Treasury with daily bank sheets to allow reconciliation of bank accounts
Supporting branches MA Accountants with any ad hoc financial /cash requiment and assisting in resolving any queries that may arise
Daily checking and authorising of Payments
Assist Market Area Accountants with balance sheet reconciliations monthly
Participate in Ad hoc queries, reporting an projects
Responsible for booking transactions from Toyota’s paperless finance
Post Bank Statement entries to correct accounts and correct customers
Review, maintain and report on Cash, Warranty and Finance debtors on a daily basis, Highlighting any issues that arise to the Branch Credit Controller and MA Accountant
Check documentation received from paperless finance, ensuring correct posting and narrative appears
Regular Vehicle Stock and Parts Stock checks
Assist with Petty Cash process
Vehicle Reconciliations
Ensure that all deadlines are met in a timely manner
Ensure accuracy in all processing
Adhere and enforce Jemca’s company policies
