The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing the finances of a SME sized business and be flexible taking on other company responsibilities when required.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the smooth running of the monthly accounts preparation
Report accounts directly to the MD on a monthly basis
Ensure the day to day running of the purchase and sales ledgers
Manage two accounts staff on a daily basis assisting them where necessary
Close all ledgers for month end
Prepare the payroll for processing by the Accounts Assistant
Deal with PAYE for the company and deal with all pension submissions for staff
Be fully responsible for company tax returns including the VAT and Instrastat
Submit the yearly statutory accounts and liaise with auditors
Assist with ad-hoc project both within finance and in other departments
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience running the accounts of a SME sized business - Essential Hands-on flexible approach to work - Essential Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience - Essential Have experience working in a manufacturing industry - Ideal
