Job Description

The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing the finances of a SME sized business and be flexible taking on other company responsibilities when required.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the smooth running of the monthly accounts preparation
  • Report accounts directly to the MD on a monthly basis
  • Ensure the day to day running of the purchase and sales ledgers
  • Manage two accounts staff on a daily basis assisting them where necessary
  • Close all ledgers for month end
  • Prepare the payroll for processing by the Accounts Assistant
  • Deal with PAYE for the company and deal with all pension submissions for staff
  • Be fully responsible for company tax returns including the VAT and Instrastat
  • Submit the yearly statutory accounts and liaise with auditors
  • Assist with ad-hoc project both within finance and in other departments

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience running the accounts of a SME sized business - Essential Hands-on flexible approach to work - Essential Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience - Essential Have experience working in a manufacturing industry - Ideal
