THE ROLE
You will be working for a Cannock based accountancy practice as a Bookkeeper. You be responsible for Preparing accounts for Sole traders, Limited companies and partnerships. Working in a small and friendly team, you will carry out all bookkeeping duties. this will include General accounting work including document management and liaison with clients, VAT Submissions based on various VAT Schemes like Cash, Standard, Flat rate and retail VAT Schemes. Purchase and sales ledger control with reconciliations and credit control activities. Dealing with different Nominal codes and Chart of accounts and post general, debtor and creditor journals. Processing payroll, generating payslips, Maternity & Statutory pay, forms P45 and P60, Pension Scheme and RTI submissions using Sage Payroll 50 and dealing with HMRC on VAT and PAYE matters. Processing accruals and prepayments, asset registers depreciations and payroll journals. Taking the accounts to the final accounts level with adjustments on Sage line 50 and XERO and responsible for CIS matters and subcontractor payments. You will also complete Month ends on excel and conduct Bank reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
