Job Description

An exciting position has arisen for a Group Accountant in a leading Retail company. You will be based in Central London and will report directly to the Finance Manager. You will sit within the Group Function, where you will support the consolidation of all the business entities statutory accounts alongside supporting ongoing financial projects.

Main Duties

• Gaining a full understanding of the Group's monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes
• Preparing accurate monthly/annual consolidated management accounts whilst ensuring that the internal and external reporting deadlines are met
• Supporting financial accountants
• Statutory/group accounting: full responsibility for independently preparing all statutory accounts
• Manage and further improve the Group's cash forecasting processes and procedures
• Auditing

Skills/Attributes Required

• Candidates will be a newly Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant

• Strong technical knowledge and skills

• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experience of preparing consolidated financial statements
