As an Assistant Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the production of the monthly management accounts
Calculating and posting prepayments and accruals
Weekly cashflow reporting
Daily bank reconciliations
Maintaining the intercompany reconciliation process
Providing accurate and timely KPI and variance analysis
Preparing review packs for senior level management
Co-ordinating and preparing budgets and forecasts
Assisting with audit as and when required
Constantly assessing and evaluating systems and processed to identify efficiencies
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Actively studying for ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) Previous experience assisting in the preparation of management accounts - ideally you will have strong experience of taking accounts to trial balance (as a minimum) Experience using an ERP system (SAP/Oracle) Computer literate with at least an intermediate capability with MS Excel High attention to detail Able to work both independently and part of a wider team Able to develop solid relationships with stakeholders
