Job Description
The job involves weekly rotating shifts of 06:00 to 13:30 and 12:30 to 20:00 in our busy transport office.
Applicants must have transport office experience and knowledge of pallet networks would be a distinct advantage.
Key job responsibilities are as follows.
Order entry – accept orders from customers via email and web-portal and enter information into the Mandata Traffic Management System [TMS]. Provide assistance and feedback to the customer when needed.
Pallet Network Job Entry – linking jobs from TMS to pallet networks and liaising with pallet network partners.
Obtain Proofs of Delivery (PODs) – contact sub-contractors by email and telephone to obtain PODs within the allotted time frame and enter the details into the TMS.
Order completion – prepare orders for invoicing, ensuring the charge rate is correctly applied, proof of delivery was obtained and the order is complete in the TMS.
Taking customer calls – understand the needs of the customer and assist personally or distribute the call to the relevant person.
Communication – confidently communicate with colleagues, customers, sub-contractors and drivers.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Pallet network experience a distinct advantage. Specific TMS systems training will be provided. Experience in data entry, MS Word, Email (Outlook), Excel (basic). Pro-active ‘can-do’ attitude. Exceptional communication skills and helpful attitude. Professional personal attitude.
