Job Description

You will work closely with members of the Finance team and the wider key stakeholders to drive process improvement within the business.

Key Responsibilities:
These will include Management Accounts and Commercial Finance tasks:

  • Preparation of monthly accruals & prepayments for specific UK P&L cost lines
  • Balance sheet reconciliations to be prepared and reviewed with Management Accountant on a monthly basis
  • Reconciliations of actual performance versus forecast for stores and central overhead cost lines
  • Business Partnering with specific Head of Departments to provide financial analysis and guidance on spend as a basis to support cost centre forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Ownership of monthly store P&Ls to be distributed to Ops Managers and store General Managers
  • Ownership of budget and forecast upload into the Accounting system [Microsoft Dynamics NAV]
  • Assist Management accountant with production of monthly management packs for key company stakeholders
  • Ownership of commercial finance queries relating to store controllable profit, products trend of sales and profitability and quarterly stores ‘champions league’
  • Responsible for detailed analysis used to create the company Budget and reforecasts
  • Weekly shop waste journals and stock movements to be posted and reconciled
  • Assist the Management Accountant to continuously improve control environment
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests relating to US Management Accounts

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 18 months finance experience required.
  • Degree educated
  • You are likely to study towards an ACA/ACCA/CIMA or relevant qualification. You will have excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, the ability to work under pressure and within tight time frames.
  • Strong communication skills are essential along with positive attitude and ability to manage key relationships internally whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced excel skills are essential.
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You are likely to study towards an ACA/ACCA/CIMA or relevant qualification, Minimum of 18 months finance experience required.
