The work will be mixed and varied and will include working closely with other Infrastructure teams, infrastructure team leaders, and application support teams. There may be a requirement to cover an on-call rota, working evenings or weekends
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Database administration & support
Investigate SCOM alerts for oracle databases
On Call support as needed
DB patching according to patching cycle
Automation of routine tasks as well as handover of application administration tasks to relevant teams
Database migrations
Problem Solve complex issues & IT problem
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:
Solid background of experience in Oracle administration
Strong experience of installing, configuring and administering Oracle databases using best practices
Experience of working and configuration of servers using CIS standards
Proven track record in administration within a highly professional environment
Process Documentation
Oracle 1 experience
Solid experience of utilising dataguard

Experience of working with a Migration environment Exposure to Cloud and use of Oracle/Azure Excellent technical skills, good analytical, problem management and interpersonal skills Ability to work successfully under pressure. Demonstrated structured approach to work as well as being able to deal with people professionally at all levels Excellent customer facing skills for liaison with application database owners and end business users Oracle 19c knowledge
