Job Description

We are one of the leading independent Estate Agents and Chartered Surveyors in the North of England. We are currently expanding our team and we are looking for an individual who has strong transferrable customer service skills but not necessarily experienced in the property industry.

This is a role for someone who likes to be kept very busy and work in a fast-paced environment along with ability to multi-task and adapt to various situations quickly and efficiently.

Benefits:

20 days plus bank holidays after 3 years continuous service holiday entitlement will increase by 1 day per annum up to a maximum of 25 days per annum

Main responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day management of a portfolio of residential rental properties located throughout West Yorkshire.
  • Act as client liaison to landlords and investors, providing professional advice on all aspects of their residential investments and the Private Rented Sector.
  • Agreeing new lets on our managed and let-only stock, liaising between applicants & clients, overseeing process from initial enquiry to completion of letting.
  • Ensuring all details are compliant and in line with company processes before coordinating property move-ins.
  • Dealing and managing external contractors and suppliers along with arranging scheduled and reactive property maintenance and repairs.
  • Carrying out periodic inspections, pre-tenancy/dilapidation reports and advising on and implementing any resulting actions.
  • Understand and adhere to health and safety requirements in the Private Rented Sector.
  • Reviewing tenant rent accounts and liaising with landlord/tenant on rent control / possession proceedings.
  • Undertaking out of office appointments including interim tenancy inspections, pre and post tenancy inspections and undertaking accompanied viewings.

Hours:

Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 5.30pm & Friday 9am – 5pm (1hr for lunch),

Saturdays 1 in 4 9am-1pm

This role is office based.

As you can appreciate we are currently overwhelmed with applications and therefore, we will only be in contact with those that have the relevant skills and meet all the requirements needed for the role.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate will need to be extremely organized, have high attention to detail, excellent communication skills and be a team player along with strong customer service experience within the property industry, retail or hospitality. You must hold a full UK driving license. Minimum of 2 years' Customer Service Experience. The successful applicant will be required to undertake industry specific training leading to completion of the Level 4 certificate in Residential Letting and Property Management and professional membership of ARLA (Association of Residential Letting Agents). Training will be undertaken by correspondence course within a limited time period and undertaken outside of normal working hours.
