You will be required to perform regular reconciliations of SPV cash accounts. You will make daily funding requests to third party cash managers, prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure that inter-company balances are reconciled. Executing ad-hoc reporting and analysis for management is also important.
You will be expected to be a key interface between the Reporting team (internal) and Funders and to keep up to date with the company’s products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Making daily funding requests to third party cash managers.
Performing regular reconciliations of SPV cash accounts.
Daily reconciliation and sweep of customer repayments from SPV account to funder.
Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for SPV related accounts.
Generally assisting with financial accounting for several SPV entities.
Ensure that inter-company balances are reconciled.
Ensure that loan notes are correctly calculated and reconciled.
Reconcile loan sale control account.
Daily reconciliations of customer loan balances to loan servicing systems; reconciliation of loan portfolio from Sun to operations software that captures loan information.
Ad-hoc reporting and analysis for management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Candidates will ideally have 3-5years' accounting experience, preferably within a Financial Services environment. Candidates will either be qualified by experience or part qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT). Previous experience of working for SPV / fund accounting or accounting practice is preferable. You will need strong systems skills including MS office, good database skills and data understanding. Additionally, MS Access/SQL proficiency would be an advantage, as would experience using Sun.
