Job Description

We are currently looking for an Assistant Accountant to support the Financial Controller and to strengthen the existing Finance Team.

• To be main point of contact for international trade queries and requests for information
• Check correct import duty and VAT has been calculated and paid correctly by the freight agencies acting on our behalf
• Advising on VAT/ duty responsibilities in European countries and ensuring compliance in those areas
• Submission of Intrastat including commodity code and documentation checks
• Assistant with Brexit planning
• Manage the annual P11D process
• Completion of the annual PSA return
• Monthly intercompany reconciliations
• Produce management acsounts up to trial balance
• Support the Financial Controller with projects

This will be remote based from home 3-4 days a week and the 1-2 days in the office

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Part Qualified ACCA or CIMA ideally Tax/ VAT/ HMRC Compliance experience Knowledge of Import/Export would be an advantgae however it is not essential Well organised, strong administrative and IT skills
