Job Description

Our construction client, based in Barking are seeking a diligent, well organised, personable candidate who has great leadership skills. You will need to be approachable. 

Key Responsibilities:
• To provide comprehensive administrative support to include
• Ensuring the office is maintained to a high standard, well equipped and properly stocked at all times
• Managing of office supply costs and ensuring that we always achieve best value for money
• Maintain office correspondence and post
• On-boarding of new starters, including DBS applications and ID document checks
• Monitor staff absence, holiday and sickness
• Book training and events, monitor when training needs to be refreshed and maintain records
• Assisting with various audits including ISO, Health and Safety and FORS to ensure the company remain compliant
• Managing vehicle fleet, including MOT’s repairs etc
• The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Draft, formatting, printing, filing and completion of forms
• Frequent interaction with the Heads of Department, supporting their requests


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Detailed working knowledge of excel, word and power point • Great attention to detail • The ability to remain calm under pressure • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate diplomatically and respectfully with people at all levels • Flexible and adaptable to changes in the daily routine and longer-term plans • Team player • Willing to show initiative • A thorough and methodical approach to your work
