Job Description

We are recruiting for an experienced Student Support Administrator to join one of London's leading Universities. If you have previous experience in a similar post, we'd love to hear from you!

* The Student Support team is working remotely from home but as the team is student-facing there is an expectation that where the duties of their role requires you to be on campus, you will need to work in the office *

 KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • One of two members of student-facing staff responsible for running daily Student Support Clinics and supporting the activities of the Divisional and Student Support Tutors.
  • Managing the Personal Tutor Scheme for students in all years of the programme.
  • Processing extenuating circumstances submissions and other special provision.
  • Managing and developing events and initiatives to support medical student wellbeing and to enhance the quality of their student experience.
  • Issuing student academic transcripts for current students and graduates.
  • Assisting with the administration of medical student financial assistance including scholarships and bursaries, elective bursaries and hardship funds.
  • Working to School Service Standards and helping to develop Standard Operating Procedures for Student Support and Services.
  • Servicing the Extenuating Circumstances Panel.
  • Ordering office supplies for Management

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in a professional services role, withing a Higher Education Institute. High level of experience in using Microsoft Office and comfortable working with online systems and applications. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal pleasantly, confidently and effectively with colleagues and students. Ability to work methodically and accurately with close attention to detail. Ability to work independently and to manage own workload through effective ordering of priorities and good organisational ability. The ability to make and carry out decisions and know when to confer with colleagues or refer matters onwards. Positive, pro-active, professional, constructive and collaborative approach. Empathetic and sensitive approach with an interest in student wellbeing and sensitivity to confidential issues. Innovative and problem-solving with the ability to adapt and accommodate change. Ability to take responsibility and initiative and to work flexibly under pressure and to deadlines.
